I am the Executive & Communication Officer of CERENA. I am responsible for supporting the Executive Committee in the areas of Program Management and Science Technology & Innovation Projects. I am also responsible for the internal and external communication of CERENA, including CERENA's website, Twitter and Linkedin accounts, media, and outreach activities. 

I am graduated in Geology, MSc in Georresources, and Doctorate in Natural Sciences. I have been working in marine mineral resources, namely ferromanganese deposits since I graduated. 

2015 Doctorate in Natural Sciences, Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftlichen Fakultät, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Germany. Thesis Title: Ferromanganese crusts from the seamounts north of the Madeira island: composition, origin and paleoceanographic conditions. 
2005 Master in Georesources, Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa. Thesis Title: Contribuição da Análise Multivariada para o estudo de crostas submarinas de ferro e manganês do Atlântico Nordeste (The Contribution of multivariate analysis for the study of northeast Atlantic ferromanganese crusts).
