José Manuel de Mello 2024 – Entrepreneurship awarded to Pedro Mendes, Henrique Matos and Carmen Bacariza

Congratulations to Pedro Mendes (DEQ, PI), Henrique Matos and Carmen Bacariza on winning the José Manuel de Mello 2024 – Entrepreneurship award, from the Amélia de Mello Foundation.

The winning project is entitled "CCU-Tailor: Design and Optimization of CO2 capture and conversion processes tailored to the industrial context" and aims to develop a modular software to optimize CO2 processes to assess carbon transition in Portuguese industry. The award was presented by His Excellency the President of the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa to Isabel Marrucho on behalf of Pedro Mendes, on June 28, 2024 at the Centro Cultural de Belém.
