Miguel Castro Oliveira is a R&D Engineer at ISQ – Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade and PhD Candidate at Instituto Superior Técnico (ISQ), where he completed his Integrated MSc degree in Chemical Engineering (in 2018) and where is currently enrolling in the Doctoral Programme in Sustainable Energy Systems (since 2020). His scientific interests are inserted on the field of Process Systems Engineering, namely on the topics such as Water-energy nexus, Industrial sustainability and Process integration. He has developed work in Energy efficiency, Water efficiency and Waste heat recovery. His research work has already resulted in a total of 7 publications in international journals and international conference papers in national journals. He participated in the development of several engineering projects (Horizon 2020 and Portugal 2020) and co-supervised 2 MSc students.
