Gustavo Salinas Vargas is currently working as an R&D engineer at c5Lab, a sustainable construction materials' association and R&D platform for the development of innovative technologies for the sustainable production of cement, mortar and concrete with a reduced CO2 footprint. Is about to finish his master's degree in Environmental Engineering at the NOVA School of Science and Technology, with the thesis' title: "CO2 Mass Balance of a New Superplasticizers Of Renewable Origin – through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)". Has worked in various Waste Water Treatment Plant projects as an Assistant Sanitary Engineer and is now specializing in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). His mother tongue is Portuguese and he is fluent in English and Spanish, with medium working proficiency in French and limited working proficiency in Italian.
