I am an Earth Data Scientist with 7 years of experience in data analysis (statistics, geostatistics, machine learning, deep learning, and visualization) applied to natural resources, environmental modelling and uncertainty assessment. I started my professional career as a field geologist and laboratory technician (4 years). This experience enriched my understanding of materials and their interactions with complex systems allowing me to have a more critical view when analyzing data. I have a licentiate degree in geology and a master’s degree in mining and geological engineering. At the present, I’m a PhD candidate in Earth Resources at Instituto Superior Técnico, Portugal. I am also a research fellow in CERENA. I had participated in various research projects, from landslide susceptibility to plastic and ELVs recycling separation techniques.
