Sriram Hariharakrishnan is currently pursuing his PhD studies in Chemical Engineering at IST, in the field of biomass valorisation, in the project 'BETTERPLASTICS'. He graduated in Chemical Engineering at Anna University in India, in 2014, with his project on design of process equipment for a urea production facility for Madras Fertilizers Limited. He completed his master's in Chemical Technology at AGH University of Science and Technology in Poland, and master of Energy Engineering and Management at IST, in 2017, with merit fellowship from EIT InnoEnergy - during which he worked on his thesis titled 'Minimization of fine particles emission from biomass combustion: Liquefaction, combustion additives, and cyclone separators' under the project 'Partiless' for Torbel Systems. Since 2018, he had been working as a research fellow for a project with Barbot paints that involves development of novel antimicrobial paints and coatings. Since 2019, he has also been working on process development for production of internal paper sizing agents and development of new renewable sizing agents in an ongoing project with The Navigator Company.
