Variable pressure solid-state NMR methods to study gas-surface interactions in nanoporous sorbent materials for industrial post/precombustion CO2 capture

This project aims at developing high-resolution in-situ solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (ssNMR) methods, adapted to variable pressure measurements, to gain an atomic-level understanding of the surface interactions between nanoporous inorganic-organic hybrid sorbent materials and gas mixtures mimicking industrial flue gas streams relevant in low- and high-pressure (postand pre-combustion) CO2 capture.

INOVSTONE 4.0

Inovstone 4.0 -  Tecnologias Avançadas e Software para a Pedra Natural is a Mobilizing Project of the Plano de Ação do Cluster dos Recursos Minerais. This project arises from the need to highlight the dynamic capacity of the Ornamental Rocks Sector (RO) and, at the same time, to reinforce its competitiveness in relation to the new digital procurement model, namely in the context of Building Information Model (BIM).
The four structuring axes of this project are:
1. Convergence with BIM's overall enforcement objectives in AEC;

Hybride Pultrusion - Production of hybride pultreded profiles

Tools for sustainable gold mining in EU (SUSMIN)

Although the gold demand has been constantly increasing in past years, the commodity findings have been decreasing and the extraction of gold has complicated due to increasing complexity and decreasing grade of the ores. Gold mining is a chance for Europe to increase economical development, but it has challenges in eco-efficiency and extraction methods (e.g. cyanide). Thus, the novel energy and resource-efficient methods and technologies for mineral processing should be developed to concentrate selectively different gold bearing minerals.

GHAMA - Assessment of the use of Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP) in heating and climatization of the Military Academy (Portugal): Amadora Quartering case study

This Project was focused on the investigation of existing surface installations and their ability to withstand a geothermal intervention, more precisely a building that functions as a dormitory in the Amadora Quartering of Academia Militar (Portugal), evaluating the thermal loads that can be replaced by geothermal energy. Of greater importance was the feasibility study of the most suitable scenarios, considered, for a conceptual phase of a pilot geothermal installation.

FAME - Flexible and Mobile Economic Processing Technologies

FAME is an active Research and Innovation project to develop economically viable, flexible and mobile combinations of technology to exploit European ore deposits that are often relatively small in tonnage terms.  This project specifically addresses three different primary ore types: skarn, greisen and pegmatite.  These ores carry significant potential for the extraction of Critical Raw Materials.  Although these ore types are complex mineralogically and have variable metal grades they are of great strategic significance in relation t
